Founded on October 1, 2023 through the initiative and personal support of Bülent Eczacıbaşı, who has a long-standing interest in photography culture alongside all the arts.

The Bülent Eczacıbaşı Foundation Center for Photographic Studies (BEVFAM) aims to safeguard high-value photographic archives in Türkiye that are considered at risk. Working in collaboration with individuals, institutions, and the heirs of photographers no longer with us, BEVFAM seeks to preserve these archives and make them accessible online, integrating them into Türkiye’s intellectual landscape and its artistic and cultural memory.
